Brandon and Tanis’ session started out like any other session, except for Brandon having an engagement ring hidden in his pocket. Brandon contacted me a few days before the session filling me in on the details of his proposal.
Tanis and Brandon recently tore down a house on their yard. The windows from the building are quite beautiful so Tanis decided to keep some for decorating purposes. Brandon snagged one of these window frames, and had it painted and drawn on by a friend to say the words, ” Will you marry me”. He then had the window frame gift wrapped so that I could bring it to the session as a “prop”.
I told Tanis that I had a great idea for a prop and brought the wrapped frame along. Luckily Tanis did not clue in to what my prop was and brought some of her own props along as well. I told Tanis to unwrap my prop for a “fun christmas themed shot”. Her reaction as she was unwrapping the frame was priceless. I am so GREATFUL to have played a small part in Brandon’s wonderfully crafted proposal. I am so thankful that I was able to capture Brandon and Tanis’ special moment and share it with everyone. It was such an incredible moment.
Congratulations Tanis and Brandon! I am SO happy for the both of you!
